A menu with 200 items isn't generous. It's a decision you have to make while you're already hungry.

That's the entire fitness internet. When I asked what's in your way, three in ten of you said you don't know what to do. Not lazy. Buried.

So here is one workout. Not a program with phases and blocks. One session, run three times a week, unchanged for six weeks.

Move 1: Body — The session.

Five things, three sets each, 8 to 12 reps, 90 seconds rest:

  • A squat. Goblet squat, or bodyweight down to a chair.

  • A push. Pushups, or a dumbbell bench press.

  • A pull. One-arm dumbbell row.

  • A hinge. Dumbbell Romanian deadlift, or a hip thrust.

  • A carry. Walk 40 yards holding something heavy in each hand.

Thirty minutes, including the part where you check your phone between sets.

Move 2: Fuel — Don't overhaul your diet. Fix one meal.

New program plus new diet is two habits at once, and two at once is how both of them die. Anchor breakfast at 40 grams of protein and leave the rest of your day alone until the training sticks.

Move 3: Mind — Don't change the workout for six weeks.

Same five exercises, same order, every session. The only thing that moves is the weight on the bar. Novelty feels like progress and isn't. Swapping exercises every week is like reshuffling your investments every month: plenty of activity, no compounding.

The takeaway: You don't need more options. You need one session you've stopped negotiating with.

The Lean Dad Recomp Playbook shows you how to lose the belly fat and build muscle at the same time, without living in the gym. It answers "where do I even start?" with three things: a protein number, a training plan, and a fat-loss pace that doesn't leave you running on fumes.

You don't need more information. You need the IKEA instructions, not the whole catalog.

It's built for a body over 40, not a 25-year-old's Instagram. And it doesn't depend on motivation, which is good, because motivation tends to quit by Wednesday.
